Judy Konkel, one of my wonderful students at Beloit College,
gave me the book as a present when I left. It contains the universal
wisdom that "It is a tragedy to be clever but unhappy." Fantastic illustrations!

For Christmas, my Dad gave me a gorilla that when you flip his switch,
he dances and sings "The Macarena." I was literally speechless.
I sputtered " It's . . . it's . . . Wonderful!" and then I burst into tears.

Don't you think this is behind all your cyber efforts?

Not really silly, but orchids are the crown of plant creation. This one is
Odontoglosum bittersweet. These most sophisticated denizens of the
plant kingdom don't even commit genocide (or is that orchidocide)
or start wars, unlike their counterpart in the animal kingdom.
